GTF Sunday

i am currently in London Village having travelled down a couple of days before the Water Rats show in order to do a bit of DJing last night at the Penelope Tree club in Bartok, Chalk Farm Road.

It was a great night (hello to everyone who came along) and much fun was had meeting some new folk and catching up with old friends that i only ever see in London.

Jim and Hatty are the resident DJs and the night was split into six sets, two each, so we'd all been on and played a set each, and i was just starting my second set when Hatty came over to tell me that the manager had arrived and the night was being cut short due to a 'private party' for industry people who were coming down and they wanted to be playing them lounge music. Bit of a stinker to cut off your regular night, but what can you do, we repaired to the bar and got the tinctures in and returned to sitting with friends and enjoying the night. It was a little later during a trip to the loo that i spotted the 'industry people' huddled at the back of the bar, the reason the night had been cut short was none other than Chris Evans and his minions. Not so much Thank F*ck Its Friday, as Get Tae F*uck Sunday. We resisted the temptation to go and give him some old fashioned Glasgow pish-ripping (althgough it was very tempting).

In other news the 24hour drinking laws down here seem to be taking off spectacularly. We were in the Winchester (yes, its true folks) having a coffee in the afternoon, and whilst walking out, this very happy wee drunk guy, who certainly looked like he had been drinking for at least 24 hours, came crashing through the doors, nearly fell over, staggered over to me muttering "never drink, never drink, i'm telling ya. looked at Lynsey and said, "can i get a taxi?" We exited quickly leaving him for the bar staff to deal with.

Certainly after midnight in Bartok there were a few 'characters' that the door staff started looking worried about having to deal with, our only wish was, if they caused any bother, hopefully it would involve Chris Evans.

Haha! The 24-hour drinking law causes for such pretty sights!
Great show at petrol saturday night! Was fabulous and must apologise for the smellobellos that could not just shut up. Tracyanne's voice soared above those poopheads though and it was amazing! Hope you come back soon! Love the band so, so, so much! x
